Since About us Sakura Teahouse began in 2013, from a cup of matcha tea and the sincere desire to
bring more peace to the lives of those who cross our threshold. We have created
a space where time slows down, everyday problems fade away, and the warm and
welcoming atmosphere, soothing music and relaxation offered by the moment of
tea invite you to connect with your loved ones or to spend a moment with
yourself.
It allstarted around the cherry blossom – a symbol of both refinement and
ephemerality – hence the name Sakura , chosen as if naturally,
on Cireșoaia Street. Cherry blossoms are seen in Japan as a subject of
reflection on the courage to bloom. The buds so small and delicate transform
into fragile and delicate flowers, offering the spectacle of perfection, only
to then shake in the glory of absolute beauty. The picture offered to people by
cherry blossoms shows us the audacity to face the most demanding situations, to
accept the very ephemerality of life, in order to leave behind a valuable
memory, to be an example of living with meaning, with wisdom and with the power
to overcome fear.
We offer over 100 carefully selected tea varieties, most of which are organic,
along with 100% Arabica coffee. The menu is complemented by desserts inspired
by both local and international cuisine: from Moldovan quince or apple pies, to
chocolate, cream or caramel cakes, blueberry muffins, croissants and more. We
also thought about those who want to have the experience we can offer
elsewhere, so all our products are also available as a takeaway. We have a tea-shop area, for those who choose to take their favorite teas home or give them as gifts to
their loved ones. We have been with the people of Suceava for over 12 years,
and beyond the tea shop, you can find us present at cultural, educational or
charitable events, festivals, seasonal events, sports meetings, etc. We have
adapted to the places and moments, so we have created different mobile bar
concepts: stands with modern design, a caravan with a retro look, a bicycle
with a sidecar adapted to the presentation of tea or a tea house.
We promote education as a resource for progress, acceptance of human and cultural
diversity, personal and community refinement, as a lever for elevating the
society to which we belong. These values are shared by our entire team. Sakura Co-Founder - Liliana Nestor is an active promoter of tea culture and valuable connections between people. Liliana speaks at various events, both local and national, about the history of tea and tea etiquette, about etiquette and politeness in society, about how it is possible
to create an identity and how communication can be made more efficient with the
help of social and professional etiquette. As a lecturer at the Calea Victoriei
Foundation in Bucharest - one of the most well-known organizations in the country,
which carries out educational and cultural activities - Liliana creates
beautiful experiences together with the team at the foundation, which include
tea and smiles.
